The Squarciafichi family and the Marcestel Collections would be honored by your visit to the Marcestel memorial exhibition at the Maison Franco Japonaise in Tokyo Ebisu from 6 to 10 of october.
After fifty years of creation, Marc Antoine Squarciafichi, known as Marcestel, a French artist eminently recognized for his work on Japanese mythology, passed away at the age of 80 in Osaka on April 2023.
He leaves behind a rich and abundant collection illustrating both his devotion to nature and to the love between beings. His mastery of colors, materials, and multiple pictorial and sculptural techniques makes his works so unique.
This memorial exhibition presents a panel of his most beautiful works, from his early creations to the very last works produced only few days before his death.
